In a semi-particular order, here are all the adaptations of Sherlock that I like the best. These are from a number of different kinds of sources, because my autism about this man knows no bounds.

From Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One & Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened

My pookie. My scrunkly. My beloved. My dumbass pretty boy genius. I love this version of Holmes so goddamn much, and I thank Frogwares on the daily for writing Chapter One and The Awakened. I wouldn't have even known he existed if my friend Bri didn't come crashing in to my DMs on Discord one day holding up a gifset of him. He's probably my top adaptation of Sherlock on a very subjective level. I know that both games are very much Frogwares writing their own canon essentially, but I don't care. He's pretty, he's snarky, and I love him dearly.

SHCO/TA Sherlock is a younger version of him--I believe in Chapter One he's only in his very early 20s. So the Holmes in these games is still sort of settling into being what we would expect out of him. In The Awakened he's kind of the 'typical' personality seen in most adaptations, but he's still got the unsure charm of a weird little 20 something to him.

From Fate/Grand Order

I'll be the first to admit, I don't actually play FGO. I tried, I really did, but the gameplay loop is not something I'm familiar with--I don't play many anime gacha games. But there is something about FGO's Sherlock that got me. I mean for one, they made him a pretty boy, which I am easily weak for. But then there's other things about him that my friends who DO play FGO like to tell me. It was kind of a given that I'd be very into this version of Holmes.

Shoutout to the fact that Holmes is an anime pretty boy and Moriarty is an old man in FGO. This is a fact both characters reference in game, from my understanding, and we love that for them. Also, Sherlock's "ult" (Noble Phantasm) is made up of a bunch of magnifying glasses, sort of, and I just think that's neat.
